We need to realize that God changes not and is not doing a new thing in the supernatural. Signs and wonders are miracles that follow the preaching of His Word. The signs and wonders include healing, financial miracles, and other supernatural blessings from God.
Fear creates bondage and is a spirit sent by an enemy (satan). Fear is like a snake trying to wrap itself around you. When you are in fear, you come out of the timeless resources from God and go back into time. When you come out of fear, then you can bring those things of God down to you in this realm.
“After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.” (Matthew 6:9-13). “Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature? And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith? Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.” (Matthew 6:25-34).
“And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.” (Mark 16:15-19).
“Behold, I and the children whom the Lord hath given me are for signs and for wonders in Israel from the Lord of hosts, which dwelleth in mount Zion.” (Isaiah 8:18). God is leading us into places where we can’t win on our own; we need His ability and mind. The battle is not yours!!! The battle is God’s: “And he said, Hearken ye, all Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem, and thou king Jehoshaphat, Thus saith the Lord unto you, Be not afraid nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude; for the battle is not yours, but God’s.” (2 Chronicles 20:15). Dismayed is defined here as without hope. When Jehoshaphat faced the huge multitude, he set himself to seek the Lord and called a fast. That’s what we need to do! When you face a battle, do you seek the Lord and pray, or do you pick up the phone and call everyone you know?
God told Joshua to be strong and of good courage. We need to do that also. If you don’t think you can do it, then you won’t. We already have victory because Jesus won the victory for us. Resist the enemy and he will flee. Most of us ignore the enemy; we need to RESIST him! We resist the enemy with the Word of God. “Is any thing too hard for the Lord? At the time appointed I will return unto thee, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son.” (Genesis 18:14). Nothing is too hard for the Lord; therefore, we need to let go and let God.
“Hear, O Israel: Thou art to pass over Jordan this day, to go in to possess nations greater and mightier than thyself, cities great and fenced up to heaven, A people great and tall, the children of the Anakims, whom thou knowest, and of whom thou hast heard say, Who can stand before the children of Anak! Understand therefore this day, that the Lord thy God is he which goeth over before thee; as a consuming fire he shall destroy them, and he shall bring them down before thy face: so shalt thou drive them out, and destroy them quickly, as the Lord hath said unto thee.” (Deuteronomy 9:1-3). God goes before you! Take this for yourself! God is no respecter of persons! We need to put our trust and confidence in the Lord!
The Church has not shown the world the miracles from God for three major reasons:
- Ignorance of the miracles of God
- Walking with a negative image of themselves
- Refusal to act on what God told them to do.
“My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.” (Hosea 4:6). Many have rejected the knowledge God brought to them and have not acted on what God told them to do! The knowledge of God is revelation knowledge, not sense knowledge from education or learning.
We must walk in love and put on God’s love – which is agape love. We also must develop a new image; we can only obtain a new image by studying the Word of God and meditating on it 24/7. The Law of Meditation – this is revealed to you. Whatever you are thinking about determines how you view what you are seeing. A great example is the 12 spies of Israel that went into the Promised Land. Only 2 of the spies saw opportunity. The other 10 spies saw themselves as grasshoppers and therefore, viewed conquering the land as impossible.
You can possess whatever God said you can have! Renewing your mind is the difference between success and failure. “For the kingdom of God is not in word, but in power.” (1 Corinthians 4:20).
“And John calling unto him two of his disciples sent them to Jesus, saying, Art thou he that should come? or look we for another? When the men were come unto him, they said, John Baptist hath sent us unto thee, saying, Art thou he that should come? or look we for another? And in that same hour he cured many of their infirmities and plagues, and of evil spirits; and unto many that were blind he gave sight. Then Jesus answering said unto them, Go your way, and tell John what things ye have seen and heard; how that the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, to the poor the gospel is preached. And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me.” (Luke 7:19-23).
“Truly the signs of an apostle were wrought among you in all patience, in signs, and wonders, and mighty deeds.” (2 Corinthians 12:12) Signs and wonders and mighty deeds are for you, today!
“And I, brethren, when I came to you, came not with excellency of speech or of wisdom, declaring unto you the testimony of God. For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified. And I was with you in weakness, and in fear, and in much trembling. And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man’s wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power: That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.” (1 Corinthians 2:1-5).
The Kingdom of God is not in word, but in power. That power is available to us today! We must be walking in love and renewing our mind to the Word daily. Our faith is in God, not in what man can or can’t do.
