We have been redeemed from the curse of the law. There is a connection between what we say and what we have: “It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.” (John 6:63).
“So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” (Romans 10:17). When you are hearing words from the enemy, it brings fear. Fear is a spiritual force – you must come against it. Faith is an earnest intense expectation. You have to know that you know; you have to have the Word down in your heart. This is a way of life.
“Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers. And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.” (Ephesians 4:29-30). Don’t grieve God. You grieve God when you talk contrary to what the Word says.
“Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart.” (Proverbs 3:3). “My heart is inditing a good matter: I speak of the things which I have made touching the king: my tongue is the pen of a ready writer.” (Psalm 45:1). The law of faith is like the law of thrust. The law of gravity is pulling you down; the law of drag is slowing you down. However, the law of faith pulls you above the law of gravity and drag!
“This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.” (Joshua 1:8). We need to meditate on the Word day and night so we can get the Word down into our heart, or spirit: 1) Read it, 2) Say it and 3) Act on it.
Whose report will you believe? We need to protect our eye and ear gates. If you spend all your time watching “Dancing With the Stars”, and haven’t spent any time meditating on the Word, you will believe the word of the doctor with a negative report rather than God, who promises that we always walk in health and healing.
“For we do not want you to be uninformed, brethren, about the affliction and oppressing distress which befell us in [the province of] Asia, how we were so utterly and unbearably weighed down and crushed that we despaired even of life [itself]. Indeed, we felt within ourselves that we had received the [very] sentence of death, but that was to keep us from trusting in and depending on ourselves instead of on God Who raises the dead. [For it is He] Who rescued and saved us from such a perilous death, and He will still rescue and save us; in and on Him we have set our hope (our joyful and confident expectation) that He will again deliver us [from danger and destruction and draw us to Himself].” (2 Corinthians 1:8-10, Amplified). However no weapon formed against us will prosper: “No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord.” (Isaiah 54:17).
That weapon may be cancer, congestive heart failure, job loss, bankruptcy or another kind of attack. Again, no weapon formed against us will prosper! Praise God!
The Words God speaks are life: “My son, let not them depart from thine eyes: keep sound wisdom and discretion: So shall they be life unto thy soul, and grace to thy neck. Then shalt thou walk in thy way safely, and thy foot shall not stumble. When thou liest down, thou shalt not be afraid: yea, thou shalt lie down, and thy sleep shall be sweet. Be not afraid of sudden fear, neither of the desolation of the wicked, when it cometh. For the Lord shall be thy confidence, and shall keep thy foot from being taken. Withhold not good from them to whom it is due, when it is in the power of thine hand to do it. Say not unto thy neighbour, Go, and come again, and to morrow I will give; when thou hast it by thee. Devise not evil against thy neighbour, seeing he dwelleth securely by thee. Strive not with a man without cause, if he have done thee no harm. Envy thou not the oppressor, and choose none of his ways. For the froward is abomination to the Lord: but his secret is with the righteous. The curse of the Lord is in the house of the wicked: but he blesseth the habitation of the just. Surely he scorneth the scorners: but he giveth grace unto the lowly. The wise shall inherit glory: but shame shall be the promotion of fools.” (Proverbs 3:21-35).
“Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.” (Proverbs 18:21). We reap what we speak and confess in our life, good or bad. We control what goes on in our lives. You shall decree a thing and it will be established!
“In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.” (Genesis 1:1-3). God’s Words have creative power. He made us in His image, so our words also have creative power in our lives. “The integrity of the upright shall guide them: but the perverseness of transgressors shall destroy them.” (Proverbs 11:3). Speaking perverse words will destroy us; we should never say anything we don’t want. Our words release either God’s power or satan’s power. You must watch the things you say. Put a watch and guard over your mouth.
God’s principles are in the law of confession and faith. Jesus is the Anointed One; we can do all things through that anointing. We must speak His Word – then His Anointing is released!
“Jesus cried and said, He that believeth on me, believeth not on me, but on him that sent me. And he that seeth me seeth him that sent me. I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness. And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world. He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day. For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak. And I know that his commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak.” (John 12:44-50). Jesus only spoke the Words of His Father! If we will just do this also, it will cause faith to rise within us.
Faith without works is dead and love without action is dead: “And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the Lord thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth: And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God.” (Deuteronomy 28:1-2). God’s Blessings will overtake us if we are obedient! God’s will for us is total provision; it is dependent on the faith we have in His Word and acting on it. God’s Word is the incorruptible seed; it will produce whatever you said, good or bad.
Read Deuteronomy 28:1-14 and meditate on it. Determine to spend time daily studying God’s Word. Meditate on the Word like a cow chewing her cud; chew, chew, chew, swallow, regurgitate, and then chew, chew, chew. Do this until you get God’s Word down in your heart and you know that you know that God’s Word is true and satan is a liar! You will be able to stand against every weapon formed against you and prosper! Praise God!
