We need to look for – to watch for – the appearing of the Lord Jesus Christ.  It’s time for the true church to bring those in captivity into the truth so they won’t miss the rapture.  “Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh” (Matthew 25:13).

Apostasy (abandoning of what one used to believe) has come into the body of Christ.  Christians have become lukewarm.  There has been a great falling away of the truth.  The standard of heaven is much higher than that on the earth.  We need to be studying and meditating on the Word because “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works” (2 Timothy 3:16-17).

Paul wrote Timothy about what would happen in the last days: “I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom; Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables” (2 Timothy 4:1-4).  That time has come!

One of satan’s biggest strategies is to come against the preaching of God’s Word.  Instead, people are seeking feathers and floating gems; this is the occult.  Hosea said, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children” (Hosea 4:6).  People today are rejecting knowledge and they have made a truce with the world.

The true church is the thermostat.  We need to show the world and lukewarm Christians the truth of God’s Word: “And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature” (Mark 16:15). We are not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ!

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith. For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them. For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools” (Romans 1:16-22). God upholds all things by His Word and power.

“Let him that is taught in the word communicate unto him that teacheth in all good things. Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap” (Galatians 6:6-7).

We are at war!  We are to rise up and take back everything the enemy has stolen!  The supernatural is real.  It is the foundation for everything.  There is no restoration without revelation. You must ‘see’ it first in the spiritual.  God wants to restore everything the enemy has ever stolen from us.

“And he said unto them, Take heed what ye hear: with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you: and unto you that hear shall more be given” (Mark 4:24).  Go to God’s Word and go to God with a bushel, not a thimble!  We need to get into God’s Word. We are living epistles!  We are to model our lives after Jesus.  He inhabits the praises of His people. Resist the enemy; withstand and oppose and fight and work against him.  Don’t ignore him.

“But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man. For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ” (Galatians 1:11-12)

We are the children of God: “Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not” (1 John 3:1). “Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying” (Romans 13:13). The day here refers to the day of the return of Jesus!  We have to be walking honestly to be counted worthy to go in the rapture.

There are three things we need to do to live victoriously:

  1.  Make the Word of God the final authority in your life.  Line it up with the Word using two – three scriptures.
  2. Make the decision to live your life by faith.
  3. Live by love – faith only works by love.

It’s the Word of God that does the work – not you!!  Put it to work!  Jesus quoted the Word; use Him as your example.  Say, ‘By His stripes I am healed!’  Call things that be not as though they were!

Two things happen when you speak the Word:

  1. God honors it.
  2. The angels harken to it – to minister unto us. “Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?” (Hebrews 1:14).

“So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it” (Isaiah 55:11). God’s Word breaks the yoke of bondage. We need to confess the Word and meditate on the Word: “This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success” (Joshua 1:8).

“Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee. For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the Lord shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee” (Isaiah 60:1-2).

It’s time to begin living victoriously!  Get into the Word, live by faith and walk in love!
