Jesus was the Greatest Gift anyone could have ever given us!  He is not the baby in the manger; He grew up and was sacrificed on the cross for our sins.  He is the King of Kings.

When you hear of people that have gone to Heaven and returned; they have only seen Jesus, not the Father.  If you have seen Jesus, you have seen the Father.  Celebration of the Prince of Peace is to reconcile us to Him.  He loved us so much He sent Love to the earth:

“Now in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God to a city in Galilee called Nazareth, to a virgin engaged to a man whose name was Joseph, of the descendants of David; and the virgin’s name was Mary. And coming in, he said to her, ‘Greetings, favored one! The Lord is with you.’ But she was very perplexed at this statement, and kept pondering what kind of salutation this was. The angel said to her, ‘Do not be afraid, Mary; for you have found favor with God. And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall name Him Jesus. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David; and He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and His kingdom will have no end.’ Mary said to the angel, ‘How can this be, since I am a virgin?’ The angel answered and said to her, ‘The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you; and for that reason the holy Child shall be called the Son of God. And behold, even your relative Elizabeth has also conceived a son in her old age; and she who was called barren is now in her sixth month. For nothing will be impossible with God.’ And Mary said, ‘Behold, the bondslave of the Lord; may it be done to me according to your word.’ And the angel departed from her.” (Luke, 1:26-38, NASB).

We need to have faith in the Name of Jesus.  Everything that He is, is in His Name. Jesus means salvation. Jesus means protection. Jesus means healing. Jesus means provision.

Today we are celebrating Jesus, the Joy; Emmanuel – which means God with us!  When we are born again, then we are carrying His Son – His Word – on the inside of us. If people see us, they see Jesus.  If they see Jesus, they see the Father.

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His great mercy has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,” (I Peter 1:3, NASB). And:

“God, after He spoke long ago to the fathers in the prophets in many portions and in many ways, in these last days has spoken to us in His Son, whom He appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the world. And He is the radiance of His glory and the exact representation of His nature, and upholds all things by the word of His power. When He had made purification of sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high, having become as much better than the angels, as He has inherited a more excellent name than they. For to which of the angels did He ever say, ‘You are My SonToday I have begotten You’And again, ‘I will be a Father to Him And He shall be a Son to Me’And when He again brings the firstborn into the world, He says, ‘And let all the angels of God worship Him.’ And of the angels He says, ‘Who makes His angels windsAnd His ministers a flame of fire.’ But of the Son He says, ‘Your throne, O God, is forever and everAnd the righteous scepter is the scepter of His kingdom.'” (Hebrews 1:1-8, NASB).

We need to understand and receive the revelation that Jesus is God!  We need to use the scripture in Hebrews above to witness to people in cults who may come to our door and try to witness to us!

When Adam and Eve believed satan and fell, sickness, sin and death – the curse – came in with satan on the earth. We were separated from God until that time that we were born again; that is, after the Savior – Jesus – came first and died for our sins:

“So if the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed.” (John 8:36, NASB).  Jesus has destroyed all the works of the devil.  But they are out there in the earth, and if we open the door through sin and operating in our flesh, the curse is there.

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being.” (John 1:1-3, NASB). Jesus is the Living Word of God; He created everything that there is. When we understand truly that Jesus is God, then the most quoted scripture in the Bible has new meaning:

For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.” (John 3:16, NASB).

Jesus is Almighty God in the flesh!  He had to come to earth in human form so not to violate any of His ordinances that He established.  Lets’ continue reading in John, Chapter 1:

In Him was life, and the life was the Light of men. The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it. There came a man sent from God, whose name was John. He came as a witness, to testify about the Light, so that all might believe through him. He was not the Light, but he came to testify about the Light. There was the true Light which, coming into the world, enlightens every man. He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him. He came to His own, and those who were His own did not receive Him. But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name, who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God. And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth. John testified about Him and cried out, saying, “This was He of whom I said, ‘He who comes after me has a higher rank than I, for He existed before me.” For of His fullness we have all received, and grace upon grace. For the Law was given through Moses; grace and truth were realized through Jesus Christ. No one has seen God at any time; the only begotten God who is in the bosom of the Father, He has explained Him.” (John 1:4-18, NASB).

We need to meditate on these scriptures until the revelation that Jesus is God is down in our Spirits!

“Now in those days a decree went out from Caesar Augustus, that a census be taken of all the inhabited earth. This was the first census taken while Quirinius was governor of Syria. And everyone was on his way to register for the census, each to his own city. Joseph also went up from Galilee, from the city of Nazareth, to Judea, to the city of David which is called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and family of David, in order to register along with Mary, who was engaged to him, and was with child. While they were there, the days were completed for her to give birth. And she gave birth to her firstborn son; and she wrapped Him in cloths, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn. In the same region there were some shepherds staying out in the fields and keeping watch over their flock by night. And an angel of the Lord suddenly stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them; and they were terribly frightened. But the angel said to them, ‘Do not be afraid; for behold, I bring you good news of great joy which will be for all the people; for today in the city of David there has been born for you a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. This will be a sign for you: you will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.’ And suddenly there appeared with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying, ‘Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace among men with whom He is pleased.'” (Luke 2:1-14, NASB).

God called Jesus the Peace when He was born, but it happened when He hung on the cross and died for our sins.  He took our place in hell so we wouldn’t have to.  The world cries out for peace, but the only true peace is the wholeness that only Jesus gives to us.  Shalom – the Hebrew word for peace – means nothing missing, nothing broken.

And this is the Good News that Christmas represents.  We received the Greatest Gift God could ever give us – God Himself born in human flesh, called Jesus Christ – Emmanuel – or God with us.  Jesus is Peace; Jesus is Salvation; Jesus is Provision; Jesus is Healing; Jesus is Protection; Jesus is Everything you will ever need now or forever!

If you are not yet born again, please receive the Greatest Gift God ever gave us as your Savior and make Him Lord of your life.  You will be so glad that you did!
